The Seasons is a residential condominium located on Ft Lauderdale Beach south of Sunrise Blvd. and North of Las Olas Blvd. The building is located just three blocks north of Beach Place on A1A. The Seasons was built in 1971. The building was originally a hotel which was later converted into a condominium building.

There are 17 floors in the building and a parking garage beneath it. On the main floor, there is a lobby with a 24 hour security guard at the entrance to the building. There is an entrance to the pool located on the south side of the building. Located on the northeast corner of the main floor is a full size modern gym. The gym has a spectacular view of the main beach and has many machines and free weights. There are his and her saunas located behind the gym.

The main clubroom is located behind the elevators on the main floor. The clubroom includes a 60" HD flat screen TV, a pool table and ping pong table, as well as a small library of books. There is extra parking behind the building. The seasons also owns a piece of land at the end of the block which is used as a parking lot for guests and renters.

Each floor of the building contains 9 units. These are labeled by the letters A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, and J. Each unit has a different floor plan. The amount of square feet of each unit corresponds to the letters with the A unit being the largest and the J unit being the smallest. Units A, B, C, and D are two bedrooms. Units E, F, and G are one bedrooms. Units H and J are studio units. All units have a balcony except for the F units.

The condo units which face directly on the beach are the B, H, and E units. The B unit is on the northeast corner of the building and has a wrap around balcony with views to the north and east. The E unit is on the southeast corner of the building and has a great view of the beach to the south and to the east. The D and F units are on the north side and have views of both the beach and the intracoastal. The A unit is located on the northwest corner and has a view of the intracoastal and the city. It is also the largest apt. The C unit is on the southwest corner and has views of the ocean, city, and intracoastal. The G and J units are located on the south of the building and the ones on the upper floors have views of the beach to the south as well as the intracoastal and city. The lower ones overlook the pool area.

The city of Ft Lauderdale no longer allows pure condo buildings to be built along the public beach area. The city has done this to encourage tourism along the public beach. There are presently only three buildings on the beach which are purely condo buildings. There is also one co-op. The rest of the buildings are either hotels, time shares, or hotel/condo combinations. The Seasons has one of the best locations on the beach.

During the past year from 2007 thru 2008, the Seasons has undergone a 1.5 million dollar renovation. The building has new category 5 hurricane windows, a new roof, new air conditioner chiller, new elevators, concrete restoration of the balconies, new pavers around the entire building, new paint on the entire building, new doors, new keyless entry system, new marble tiles, a newly renovated club room, newly renovated gym, upgraded plumbing and electrical system, a new fire alarm system, and other upgrades and renovations.

There are many things do do and see in the greater Ft Lauderdale area. This makes Ft Lauderdale an ideal tourist destination. Those who live in The Seasons are within walking distance to Beach Place as well as many restaurants, clubs, and stores located along the beach on A1A. There is a water taxi which runs along the intracoastal from the Galleria Shopping Mall, to the downtown area, and the riverwalk area. There are museums, theatre, restaurants, clubs, an IMAX theatre, and much more in the downtown area of the city.

Activities on the beach itself include surfing, jet skiing, parasailing, fishing, and boating. Ft Lauderdale is also not far from Miami. There is a seaport located at the end of the beach named Port Everglades. There are casino cruises and cruises to the Bahamas, Europe, and elsewhere which leave form this port.
